Our District's mission and purpose is to provide rapid, compassionate, cutting-edge emergency services and rescue as well as improve the health and wellness of the citizens and visitors of our district.
My name is Paul Blount and I have the honor and privilege of leading the diverse and talented group of individuals that represent Cambridge Community Fire & EMS District.
Personally, I grew up in Kenosha Wisconsin. I spend a lot of my free time with my family and extended family and cherish that time immensely. My philosophy is family first. For fun, you can usually find me boating, water skiing, and tubing in the summer, as well as snow skiing in the winter. I also enjoy working out, mountain biking, hiking, and traveling.
Professionally, I started as a volunteer. I served as a volunteer Firefighter/EMT for over ten years. In my diverse and rewarding career, I have worked for smaller rural departments, and big city urban departments with over one million population. I have also worked for the United States Department of Defense, “Protecting Those Who Defend America”. I have worked as an EMS Chief, Director of Operations, Battalion Chief, EMS Captain, Flight Paramedic, Firefighter/Paramedic and Police Officer. I have been an EMT and Firefighter for 30 years and a Paramedic for 23 years. I am nationally credentialed as a Critical Care Paramedic, a Nationally Registered Paramedic, Firefighter II, Fire Officer I, Hazardous Materials Technician, Emergency Services Instructor, MPO Engine/Aerial/ARFF. I am also a Wisconsin Credentialed Police Officer and SWAT Officer. I am a graduate of University of Maryland, Baltimore County, Maryland and Gateway Technical College, Kenosha, WI.
I am extremely excited to be a part of the Cambridge Community Fire & EMS District. It is a true honor to serve the communities of our district. Thank you all for your continued support!
My name is Jason Caira and I have the honor and privilege to help in leading the diverse and talented group of individuals that represent Cambridge Community Fire & EMS District.
I was born and raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Serving as your Deputy Chief is an honor and privilege to work with such an exceptional team! My family enjoys time together with both of my parents and siblings’ families at our property in northern Wisconsin. We embrace the outdoors as much as possible while hunting, fishing, four wheeling and gardening. When not up north, we are spending time with our girls’ sharing their artistic talents their schools and community.
Professionally, I have over 20 years experience of Fire Service, serving on a busy career fire department. A combination of volunteer departments including paid on call, part time and 100% career has given me the experience to grow as an effective and firm leader within the fire service. In addition to that, I am also a State Certified Emergency Service Instructor 2 and a State Certified EMS Instructor 2 and an instructor at the local Technical College. I have served on multiple committees for the National Registry of EMT’s and supervised training centers as Regional Faculty for the American Heart Association. I have also piloted and implemented one of the first Refresher Training Centers in the state. All of which have been a learning process and success in the challenge.
I look forward to working with all of you and growing together in the community while enhancing the safety and well-being for the people we serve.
